Re - accident to 9PK. 21-3-24. Mr Hives, As I R.G. Bagley was proceeding from Bourg to Paris, I had the misfortune to meet with an accident about 2 mls from Saulieu. I was travelling about 35 MPH, & just about to pass a horse & trap, the horse shyed & turned broadside accross the road. The only alternative I had to avoid colliding with the horse, was to turn on to the grass on the side of the road, & in doing so, the rear of the car skidded side-ways into a tree. The horse did not show any signs of shying until I was about to pass it. Under the circumstances the accident was unavoidable. R.G. Bagley | ||
