For the attention of R.W.Harvey Bailey Esq.

Dear Sirs,

We are to-day sending you a set of your Brake Drum castings which we have fitted with our patent reinforcement.

Owing to there not being enough material left on the casting between the ribs the reinforcing strip does not fit so closely as we should like to see it, but the Drums should be quite serviceable and will enable you to test the efficiency of the device.

If however you decide to go further with it we should suggest slightly modifying the design to enable the reinforcement to be more neatly attached and at the same time to make a reduction in the weight at least corresponding to the weight of the reinforcing strip.

Assuring you at all times of our best attention.

Yours faithfully,

For LAKE & ELLIOT Limited.

(Signed) N.P.Lake.
Governing Director.
