We do not know whether you have formed any idea of how to sound insulate the sheet steel dash. From what we have read and been told, to apply the Seapak as on the cast dash does not appear likely to be satisfactory. We suggest as one method of treatment that the back of the dash be coated with a layer of some plastic material such as the Silenco, used by coachbuilders on door panels to prevent drumming, ( a similar material was on the Jaguar dash), and then covered with .750" thick soft felt. The carpet would be taken up as high as possible. [Signature] | ||
