X1360 HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} RECEIVED 5 NOV 1929 To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re Chromium Plating. Copy to Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Df. EH Referring to the last paragraph of R1/M.30.10.29, I do not know quite who spoke to R.{Sir Henry Royce} about this but please do not be discouraged by what is said. It is, I think, mostly a matter of people getting used to something new, and according to what PN{Mr Northey} tells me the difference in colour between the chromium at which you are aiming and Staybrite is not very pronounced. In any case I am quite satisfied that any little disadvantage in regard to people not liking the appearance when they first see it will be more than outweighed by the advantages gained in other directions.
