on the 20 H.P. have only lost a very small quantity of oil, only a few drops. This new R.{Sir Henry Royce} car is rather interesting. It has the worst brake and squeaks and the worst servo joggers of any car I have ever driven. This is rather fortunate, because owing to the fact that the servo jogger would not allow the brakes to be applied in an emergency we nearly had a smash. Royce assumes that he never realised that we had a cure for this trouble. Any how he got so far as saying that if we had a cure to it altho' we have made no progress with the problem.

Yesterday Rg.{Mr Rowledge} posted to you some rough notes I made when R.{Sir Henry Royce} was discussing the Shels. Damper which should go into production. You will observe it is almost precisely what has already been constructed, with the addition of some means of replenishing to a fixed level by means of a syringe. The dampers
