Nice 28th. February 1926 X9680 X9946 Mr E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hives. Rolls-Royce Derby Dear Sir Hives, I am enclosing herein Time & Expenses Sheet for week ending the 23rd inst. initialed by Sir North. I have very little to report since last writing. The Car still goes well. except for the remarks pointed out in previous reports. I have now had an opportunity of driving my self some 6 or 7 hundred miles, taking people to the instructions of Sir P. N - I find the car as follows: - Engine acceleration extremely good - at all speeds - Pinking very pronounced - Carburation very sensitive - Slow running not so good as on standard car - Suspect poor seating on valves or air leak for which I will investigate. Steering harder than on standard ho/50, but extremely snappy in | ||
