BENTLEY CHASSIS.
MODIFIED REAR WHEEL DRIVER.

At the Chassis Conference held with Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} on the 12th April, it was decided to introduce modified Rear Wheel Drivers on production and subsequently it was arranged to bring this modification on the 126th chassis on 'K' Series due to the Test Dept. week-ending June 26th. We were also instructed to supply these modified drivers for the use of Depots in the case of complaints.

In this latter connection, we promised to have a quantity available by week-ending May 1st, but up to the present time we have not received any official order from the Depots. On the other hand, upon looking into the matter yesterday afternoon we were informed by our Shipping Dept. that Kingsbury had recently telephoned enquiring when supplies could be placed at their disposal. Unfortunately, this request was not passed through to this department.

We suggest in such cases it is advisable for official orders to be sent to Derby at once, when same will have immediate attention.

We are arranging for 6 pairs of the new Drivers to be despatched immediately to Kingsbury.
