X 326 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}4/KW. 19th August, 1936. The Associated Equipment Co.Ltd., Southall, Middlesex. For the attention of Mr. Rackham. Dear Sirs, Mr. Eyston was here the other day, talking about the car with which he has recently been taking records in America. He mentioned to us that you had a scheme for preventing dog clutches used for continuous gearbox gears working out of mesh. As this is a problem we are always up against, we should be very grateful if you would let us have any information you have which would be applicable to private car gearboxes. Possibly you have a patent on the scheme, and could quote us a number so that we can look it up. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
