Copy of Letter. Ref: ROY{Sir Henry Royce}4/MG27.2.24. Your Ref: C.D/D.S February 27th.1924. Messrs. The Houdaille Hydraulic Suspension Co.Ltd. 41, New Bond Street, LONDON W.1 Dear Sirs:- Houdaille Shock Absorbers ------------------------- We thank you for your letter of the 21st instant re above, and have perused with interest the testimonials you have received from various Rolls owners to whose cars such Absorbers have been fitted. The matter has been discussed fully in various quarters at the Works here, and, whilst fully appreciating all these gentlemen say, we have come to the conclusion that no useful purpose would be served at this juncture by submitting your Absorbers to the exhaustive tests necessary before we could consider their standardisation in lieu of those we are at present fitting - especially as the pressure in our Research and Experimental Departments at the moment is extremely great. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS ROYCE LTD. Buyer. ENCLOSURE No 73 JUSTSO | ||
