| To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} for Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} 3. COPY R9/IB10315. pieces F.2406 and F.2403 get abnormal stress. If you do not agree with this view, it will be better for you to come and see me and explain your views. I shall be glad if Mr Day will examine the piece F.1328 and propose a better flange for this cross member tube. It appears to require considerable modification, including altering the position of the tube so as to avoid the round corner of the frame, in fact it seems to have got into a state of unsatisfactory muddle. I shall be glad if Mr Day will send to me a general arrangement of the parts around this point, especially showing the provision for the lateral pressure of the spring.
