X.3398 - PETO & RADFORD BATTERY FOR "GOSHAWK(Aero Engine)(Codename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after Kestrel(Aero Engine))". X4414

It would be a convenience if we could have an answer to our note EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 3/T28.9.21. and that the proposition of obtaining sample Peto & Radford (and Lucas) batteries for the Goshawk(Aero Engine)(Codename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after Kestrel(Aero Engine)) be agrred to generally by R. {Sir Henry Royce}
We want particularly to know if the 14¼" long battery, recommended by Messrs. Peto & Radford, can be accommodated.
We attach great importance to the proper proportion of acid volume to plate volume, so that it would be highly advisable for this and other respects to try this particular type of battery, which they call their BD. {Mr Berend} 7, if possible.
