re. Faulty Cutout - 49-G-7.

We have had returned to us a faulty distribution box complete, which was taken off the above chassis by Sales Department, which they reported as faulty and presumably have replaced with a new one.

No further details were given as to the behaviour or actual failure of the cut out, which we are now trying to obtain.

We have today handed this distribution box complete ( No. 113) to Mr. Brock, and shall be glad to have your report as to the failure, what you consider to be the cause of the failure, and whether steps should be taken to do anything to the present cutout to overcome this trouble.

On examination of the box, we note the following:-

1. That it takes only 10 volts to operate the cutout.
2. That the series coil bedding is very slack.
3. That the main fuse has broken.
4. There is no bakerlised linen packing between the back of the board and the aluminum plate.
