Please return to file c. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} by man. Can we confirm this. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} re CHASSIS - CLUTCH, TRUNION & OIL FEED It has been noted by the Inspector on the Dynamometer Test that when running at high engine speed the oil feed from the Bijur does not enter the cup feeding the trunion, but is blown away. Our Inspector Hulley (who pointed out this feature) also points out that in his experience of our cars made in America considerable trouble was experienced with oil getting on to the fabric coupling which was then used, and which he put down due to the same trouble. It appears rather important that some action should be taken to avoid this, and it is suggested that the funnel opening for collecting the oil [REDACTED] the trunion might be elongated, and the feed pipe actually enter into the opening.
