EXPERIMENTAL LANDAULET - GF.68. X.3730 X.4219 X.4260 This is the Parker Landaulet built on the RR. body frame. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} drove this car to WW. during the holiday and during its stay here Mr. Royce tried it. There appear to be distinct advantages over the ordinary body suspension, in enabling the coachbuilders to rapidly and with a certain degree of certainty, to produce a quiet closed car free from chassis vibrations and chassis frame distortions. The body was free from rattles, but the valances and tool boxes in the running-boards rattled badly, and every day it was necessary to tighten up the nuts holding the tool boxes in the running-boards. We are suggesting that tool boxes in the running-boards as supplied by Barkers could be very much improved upon, and that the bolts concerned should have a finer thread. Mr. Royce would like Sales to try this car fairly extensively before it goes to Derby with a view to an endurance test. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
