F.{Mr Friese} XI SUPERCHARGER.
With reference to the attached report. It is anticipated that the superchargers which have been completed will fulfil the A.M. contract specification which is - that the engine shall develop 480 HP. at 10,000 ft. It is therefore proposed to put up to the A.I.D. for acceptance an engine fitted with a supercharger. If it is satisfactory we can then despatch 3 F.Xl engines which have been waiting for superchargers for several months.
We have still a certain amount of work to do on the carburetter to enable us to get satisfactory metering.
