To By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} X5360 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}6/KW1.1.34. Brake Material - 20/25. ------------------------ Further to our memo, asking you to hold up the brake material after the 100th Chassis in C.2 series, 20/25, we wish at that point to revert to Ferodo bonded asbestos liners in place of the M.R. material fitted on B-2 series. The M.R. material does not give us sufficient advantages on the 20/25 chassis to merit fitting it in view of the greater prevalency of squeaks, and inefficiency of the brakes after washing the car.
