Mrs. A.E.S.Bainbridge, Address. The Sycamores, MARLOW-ON-THAMES. Chassis No. 1153. Regd.No. LD-3548. Delivered. 18.11.09. Visited. 27.9.20. Driver - Rixon. Previous Visits. Bt. {Capt. J. S. Burt - Engineer} 3.5.12. & 16.7.14. 1. Owner's opinion of car. Mrs. Bainbridge was away at the time of my visit but I shall hope to see her later, and will then forward a memo. The driver led me to suppose that she might be interested in a new chassis. 2. Driver's opinion of car. Very good. Driver mentioned a slight hum in the axle which he thought had developed lately. He seemed very anxious to get this put right and I promised him that I would ask "W" to put the car down on their Waiting List for attention to this point. In this particular case will "W" please not write to owner to say that they have put her name on the list until they hear from me again, because at present we have only the driver's instructions. There was only the slightest sign of lift in the front bearing of the pinion shaft and I was rather at a loss to account for the noise developing as the driver said it had. 3. Owner's or Driver's suggestions. Nil. 4. General condition of car. Excellent save for the noise in the axle mentioned by the driver and recorded here under Section 2. 5. Lubrication. Excellent. Price's oils used. | ||
