To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} [REDACTED] X4222 BY/Shn9/DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}18.1.23. RE "GOSHAWK II" - SPRING DRIVE - SEC:5020. SLIPPER FLYWHEEL SPRING LOADING. With reference to the following note from the Spring Drive Arrangement drawing E.51055, will you please inform us what load should be specified at 17 1/2 radius: "These springs to be tightened up choc-o-bloc and then unscrewed half a turn, at which position they should be split pinned. With this setting the friction is overcome when a load of is applied at 17 1/2" radius". We require this information, because Works inform us that the springs(E.51134) now being used do not give the same chock length as those used on the first 100 sets. Shu BY/Shn. | ||
