EXPERIMENTAL CARS.

We are handing over to you immediately Phantom III cars 36-EX and 33-EX, these we understand are to be sold as second-hand.

Attached are complete specifications of the cars. We should like our Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} to come over and see the condition of the engines after they are stripped down. Will you therefore please notify him when the engines are in this condition.

There are several experimental parts which we should like removing and returning to the exptl. garage. We give below a list.

36-EX.
(1) Remove the gearbox 12 HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and refit No.11 box to be supplied by us. This box requires bringing up to date to stop the 2nd and 3rd. gear jumping out. (please return old box to exptl. garage).
(2) Remove dipper switch No,D.38Z.
(3) Flexible rubber conduit from switchbox to distributor patch.
(4) New valve springs will be required on this engine.

33-EX.
Will you please have the following parts removed and handed over to the exptl. garage.
(1) Starter Motor.
(2) Additional filter elements.
(3) Armstrong shock dampers, rear and roll bar.
(4) High pressure petrol pumps in frame.
(5) Complete carburettor.
(6) Accelerator countershaft controls cradle.
(7) Cyl. liners are mixed and produced by separate firms. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl{Len H. Swindell} to look these over.
