1181 Experimental Dept. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale}14/JH. 2nd. March, 1937. Your ref. EWS/MAP. British Belting & Asbestos Ltd., 59, Southwark Street, London.S.E.1. For the attention of Mr. Sisman. Dear Sirs, In reply to your letter of 27th. February, we would be glad to try some "Halo III" which we note has a normal coefficient of friction of .36 - .38. If any of the other varieties of "Halo" has a lower friction value, say .32 - .35, we should like to try this also: therefore before placing the order we should like to know whether or not you have such a lining. When you write will you also inform us what are the wear figures for these linings, expressed in B.H.P. absorbed per cub. inch. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
