Radiators.

Referring to the proposal that we should do all our own repairs to radiators, and, in addition, endeavour to manufacture some radiators for production, I wish to draw your attention to the following facts:-

The radiator tubes lately delivered and still on order are 5" long overall, they having been ordered this length for repair jobs.

Our standard radiator for production has tubes 120 m/m (about 4 3/4") long; therefore, the tubes delivered and on order cannot be used for standard radiators unless the length of tube for standard radiator is altered.

I should like to know as soon as possible what our intentions are with regard to this.

It is essential that materials for the manufacture of radiators for production be ordered 4 months ahead of requirements. We cannot get supplies of Cupro Nickel in less time, and our experience with the last order of tubes goes to show that about the same period is required for the supply of tubes.

In this connection I may say that 120 m/m is the standard length of tube, whereas 5" is a special length.
