Lo/HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BRAKE TEST. 6.3.31. 22-EX. (1) Cold measurement Foot Pedal 4 1/2" from dash. Front toggles 7/8" On leaving shop, servo groaned. After 1 mile, slight squeak from front and one groan from rear. (2) Measurements after medium brakings - Foot Pedal from dash 4 1/2" Front toggles 13/16" (3) Brake hand 70 - 10 distance to pull up. 194'. 202'. 198'. 200'. 188'. 188'. (4) Foot Pedal 4 1/2" from dash. Front Toggles 7/8" hot. When cool Foot Pedal 4 1/2". Front Toggles 1". (5) Brake Hand 40 M.P.H. to 10.M.P.H. every 1/2 mile for 20 miles. Foot Pedal from dash 5" } immediately on completion of braking. Foot toggles 1" each. } When cold. Foot Pedal 4 1/2" Front toggles 1" each. (6) When brakes were cold a slight squeak was noticeable from the front. (7) Repeat No.5. Foot Pedal 4 3/4" } immediately on completion of braking. Front toggles 1" each } After car had stood at Works for 1 hour. Mileage covered 119. Very cold and strong wind, which noticeably assisted the cooling of the brakes, compared with tests taken on previous days. On resuming running after break of 1 hour. A squeak was noticed from the N.S. front and a groan from the back on one occasion. After slight warming the brakes were quiet. (5) Brake Hand 40.MPH. to 10.MPH. every 2 miles for 20 miles. | ||
