To DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X1052 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/T23.8.26. 8 CYL. PANHARD CAR. X1052 X. With reference to Dal/M21.8.26, whilst we were unable to weigh the actual car, this was the figure given us by the owner. The body fitted was an exceptionally light 4-seater Weymann. We should say this is about the lightest type of body that could be fitted apart from a racing shell. As the wings, however, were more or less reasonable, it certainly appears that the figure of 2000 kgs. is slightly optimistic. Minchin's body, which is a weymann saloon, weighs 6 1/2 cwts. approx.
