86081. Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.9/MA.1.6.34. SPEEDOMETER COMPLAINTS. Following receipt of your latest quarterly complaint list we have been investigating the causes of the failures on speedometers reported. We attach a list of these failures which incidentally the A.T.Co., state are 30, not 35 :- 25HP. Order No. Fault. Remarks. R.4849 Hand sticking at 2 miles. The cause of this was that the hand had been moved, or knocked until it was touching the edge of the dial. We merely adjusted the hand and re-tested. R.4888 Trip not working. Agreed. Slight mechanical defects, roller had ceased. Repaired F.O.C. R.4906 Instrument 6% fast. Instrument tested and found absolutely correct i.e. your usual percentage fast. Instrument tested & returned as received. R.5005 Defect unknown, please test. Instrument tested and found absolutely O.K. Returned F.O.C. R.5050 Noisy, fitted new in August 1932. Tested and found O.K. Returned F.O.C. R.5108 1. Reported Noisy Tested and found O.K. 2. Reported Noisy Tested and found O.K. | ||
