K.{Mr Kilner} ) See our drawings PT.8894, PT.8895 6.50/16 5.1/2 K.{Mr Kilner} ) and PT.8896 attached. 7.00/16 6. L. ) 7.50/16 6.1/2 L. ) The other fitments which correspond in all cases to the wider of two permissible rims, would in all cases be suspect in our opinion. Should therefore, any testing programme be contemplated, we would suggest sticking in the first place to the combinations listed above. I must also draw your attention to a fact that I have just learned; there is news of the production of approximately 47,000 of the new wide base 15 x 6 L. rims, indicating that one of the American Car Manufacturers must be adopting this size. I should have information within the next month or two as to which make of Car has made the change. You have probably also heard about the new Chrysler Safety Rim. I attach a copy of a letter I have received from the Seiberling Rubber Co., with a copy of Drawing TR.{Capt. F. W. Turner - Finance}121340, describing this rim. Yours faithfully, THE AVON INDIA RUBBER COMPANY LIMITED. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} C. Mackay DEVELOPMENT MANAGER AND CHIEF CHEMIST. | ||
