Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X.4257 EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/Tnn/h17.7.23. X.4257 X.4259 We have received a complaint from our visiting Inspector, Mr. Chichester, with regard to 20 HP. car squeaking brakes. He reports that the foot brake portion of the brake drum is inclined to be slightly scored, there being two parallel ribs the whole way round, and that the liners appear to be quite normal. Mr. Chichester concludes that the trouble was caused by some hard foreign substance getting in and scoring the brake drum, although there was no trace of this when the brakes were dismantled. Have you any comments with regard to squeaking brakes on the 20 HP. car which we can communicate to him? EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/Tnn. | ||
