To BY from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Copy to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Copy to TB. Copy to EFC. Copy to HHG. RECEIVED OCT 27 1920 X.4197 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/CB26-10-20. Re Armoured Cars - Tyre Pump. We send herewith a sketch shewing the run of the pipe from the pump to the separator. This will, of course, be fitted after the chassis is delivered, and not necessarily by ourselves. We understand that Messrs Maxfield have supplied the copper pipe, and it only remains to be seen whether it is long enough. We suggest that there are standard clips which can be used to secure the pipe to the frame, and wherever else required. It seems desirable to carry the separator inside the armour plating, and we suggest that this point should be settled with Col. Hutchinson, and perhaps carried out by him at the Coachbuilders. I should like to remind you that it will be necessary for Maxfields to provide the separators as well as the pumps. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
