To Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} from Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} ORIGINAL Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}8/M10.5.22. 3. c. to GJ. c. to WDF. c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}✓ GOSHAWK 11. STARTING CARBURETTER & MIXTURE CONTROL ON INSTRUMENT BOARD. X4234 X422F V4067 We send herewith N.sch. 1272 shewing this control arranged to be at right angles to the instrument board in the case of both "B" & "D". It will be seen that the levers in the case of "D" steering come rather low down, and in a position which would foul the Klaxon in the old position. We have therefore suggested that the Klaxon should be moved out. We believe you are taking steps to earth one side of the Klaxon, in which case we believe you will find there is sufficient clearance. We also shew the "B" type instrument board inclined at 10°, and we should be glad if you would complete the instrument board bracket from the details you have at Derby. We have taken the opportunity of adding some notes on to this drawing which we think should appear in the form of instructions on the coachbuilders drawing.
