To By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to GJ. c. to Wer. c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ✓ ORIGINAL RE GOSHAWK 11. CROSS STEERING TUBE. X4263 This is to confirm that you will experiment with the cross steering tube joint and the front end of the side steering tube joint by carrying the saw cut right into the adjusting screw hole so as to increase the flexibility of the casing enabling the clamping bolt to grip the pad. It is also understood that you are providing a left hand thread for the adjusting screw and are going to try hexagons of the full 1/4 size on the clamping bolt nuts preferably with the castellatioins not on the hexagon part. It is also understood that you are trying hardened steel ball pads instead of the present bronze. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} RECEIVED MAY 12 1922 | ||
