To Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. c. G/AWH. γ 11/4 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.16/MH.{M. Huckerby}18.1.38. We hand you herewith an oil cooler No. F.185 which has been handed to us for inspection. It is one of the reconditioned coolers which Marstons have supplied and shows signs of having so much metal machined off the union faces that the metal is dangerously thin. We have sectioned the top plate for examination. We have written Messrs. Marstons as per attached copy of letter and wish you to return the cooler to them for replacement.
