BENTLEY SILENCER SUSPENSION.

In view of GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}'s report that he is running with springs in his silencer suspension we have carried out tests to see what happens under this condition.

We think that undoubtedly the springs are much more satisfactory than the rubber both from the point of view of life and rating.

The difficulty appears to be to centralise the spring without restricting its movement, and avoiding the possibilities of squeaks. We hand you herewith a model fitted with these springs also curves showing what happens when we put some centralising washers in to locate the spring.
