RE: BENTLEY EXHAUST CUTOUT. -------------------------- Owing to the expansion of the exhaust pipe the Test Department complain that the control on the exhaust cutout fouls the equaliser shaft and opens the valve. To overcome this we have moved the exhaust cutout further forward, and at the same time have made the exhaust snout sloping downwards so that the gas will not impinge on the equaliser differential box. At the same time we have embodied an adjustable link between the operating lever and the cutout. This is to facilitate the initial erecting. We send you herewith LeC. 3598 and 3583.
