To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} & EY. from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to BJ. Wer. Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} X5420 dal/M25.4.27. BRAKES. X.5420 X.5370 R.{Sir Henry Royce} has heard of a 20 HP. car which was complained of because of a knock on application of the brakes. It was stated that this trouble was dealt with by easing off the brakes, and so completely spoiling them. R.{Sir Henry Royce} thinks that this should never be done, but that the flexibility in the servo operation, which has recently been provided and standardised, should be fitted to all cars - 20 HP. and Phantom.
