Unsatisfactory performance of the servo without a spring thrust collar and issues with brake bedding.

This fitting causes the servo to act without jaggers, and without shock. I understand there is a tendency to alter the bedding of brakes in case of their rough action - (London trials driver reported this of a 20 HP. at Cricklewood). This seems wrong.
