17960. PN.{Mr Northey}5/WT13.10.31. S/W. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}...from PN.{Mr Northey} Copy to G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} RG.{Mr Rowledge} RECEIVED 1931 OCT 14 23-EX. London Trials. As I informed you on the 'phone to-day we are sending this car to you this afternoon in order that you may, first thing in the morning, do what you consider desirable to make it less unpleasant in respect of roughness and booms of an audible and vibratory nature, so that we can have the car back at the very earliest moment in connection with its use during the Motor Show. We have forcibly taken this car from Thrupps, Coachbuilders, this afternoon in order that your work be not delayed, but they have four hours more work on the body, so that directly you are finished please return it to Thrupp's Works. We surmise that the line of action you will find necessary to adopt, is as in the case of 58-GN originally, by the removal of the rear engine-feet etc. PN.{Mr Northey} | ||
