On two unsatisfactory features of a larger choke carburetter fitted to a Phantom II 'T2' series chassis.

There are two features in connection with the above which are unsatisfactory - (1) A considerable amount of oil is coming over from the rocker cover via the breather pipe into the air intake. (2) The throttle closing spring is unsatisfactory. With regard to (1) we are informed by the Experimental Dept. that they experienced similar trouble and recommended an improved type baffle in the rocker cover. With regard to (2) it is agreed by the Exp.Dept that we should revert to the scheme for closing the throttle as used on the previous carburetter. Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} | ||
