-2- Springs save 5/- in Swedish wire. Exhaust valves in S/SLV saves 4/- Inlet valves in S/65 saves 2/- Total saving = 11/- ------------ Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} when we have reverted to the one-piece flywheel, very little more can be done to cheapen the clutch. It will then cost about the same as the 25/30, providing we do not adopt ventilation which will cost 10/- more. At the moment, with the separate gear ring, the flywheel costs about £2. more. ------------ km/Smth. A quotation has come in today for die-cast alum- inium drums, the figure being similar to the Bentley figure. No Wraith costs being available the saving is estimated at £5. 10. per chassis. Each drum will only have 4 lock plates as against 8 which will save approximately 6/- per chassis. (The die costs are £170 which will be lost if we do not continue to buy drums out) Modified H.B. lever to N.Sch.4971 should go on the next chassis, as it is cheaper. ------------ Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F.
