With further reference to Rs{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}8/G23.6.20, the remaining 12/14 volt Mazda lamp sent here for test has broken down. It has been on office lighting from April 26th to July 26th, but has not done more than half a dozen hours of duty during this period. When the lamp failed it grew dim, and the filament appeared to be fusing and giving off a quantity of vapour, which process took about one second. We are sending the lamp to you under separate cover.
