CHASSIS. -5- HVB/CR.{Mr Cra???ster / Mr Chichester}13.5.38. Minute No. 12. Item 11 on Agenda. Road Wheels. Discuss question of Dunlop and Rudge-Whitworth wheels for future 20/25 as per recent memos. Samples of Rudge-Whitworth and Dunlop wheels and hubs were shown. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} will get as much running experience with R.W. wheels as possible, and in the meantime Dunlop wheels will still be used on 20/25. 12A. NOT ON AGENDA. TANK ENGINES. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} said if any different screening is to be done on future orders we must get busy on wiring designs, as our standard fittings will not fit. It appears that we shall require a development contract to prove out War Office requirements. Maybe F.{Mr Friese} can see War Office and get agreement between different departments as some difference of opinion seems to exist between them. | ||
