FINSBURY HOUSE, LONDON, E.C.2. Messrs : Rolls-Royce Ltd, Nightingale Road, DERBY. 20th October 1924 Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr. E.W.Hives. We beg to thank you for your favour of 17th inst, Ref. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/LG and note your remarks in regard to your present arrangements, with regard to lubricants for your cars. We quite appreciate that it is difficult for such firms as your own to be continually experimenting but there is the point that there are certain countries where VEEDOL has considerable vogue and is very highly thought of in regard both to cars and aeroplane engines. We have particularly in mind India, Italy, France, Australia, New Zealand and China, in all of which countries we have a very wide and effective distribution. We have heard particularly from the two first mentioned countries that your attitude in respect to matters concerning lubrication is that of recommending one oil and one oil only, and it has occurred to us that quite apart from our own personal feelings in the matter it will be quite a useful asset to your good selves to have a second source of supply and one which can be secured on the spot. 1. | ||
