Dear Sirs,

We are in receipt of your letter of the 8th inst. concerning the new jack, and would point out that our third paragraph following our second paragraph explains that when the care rim of the wheel is on the ground the height is such that there is still weight on the jack, therefore, impossible for remove, unless the wheel is raised 1 1/4" from the ground.

Such being the case, it naturally follows that in order to use this jack it will be necessary to carry a ramp 1 1/4" high, to run under a punctured tyres before the jack can be placed in position.

We take it that the jacking pad you mention is the clip fixed to the rear end of the spring to take the jack head.

Put us right if we are wrong in this matter, otherwise we have no jacking pad, and if such an article is provided perhaps you would kindly send it.

Yours faithfully,
For WILLIAM ARNOLD

Sales Manager.
