Mr. Platford. C O P Y. 2.5.33. 20/25 HP. Car. GEX-53. Commdr. Carnt. St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} Bedes, Walton, Peterboro. "On the 2nd. inst. I demonstrated the above complete car to the owner and chauffeur, giving information with regard to running etc. and they were quite pleased with the performance on the road. The chauffeur pointed out to me that he got quite a lot of cracking noises due to the contraction of the silencer. Spitting in the silencer, which seems worse with the new 25-HP. silencer, I shewed him could be greatly improved by driving with the throttle in closed position when accelerator is released. Will you please send to above address 1 new electric horn to replace one with faulty note, which cannot be improved. The chauffeur will fit this and return the old one to the Works. Will you please send this off at once, as the owner is leaving for a tour on Friday, the 5th. inst." (Sgd)J.R.Waldron. | ||
