S/W HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} C16/C13.11.35 Re Cleveland Petroleum Products Co. and Driscol Alcohol Blend. --------- I enclose copy of letter received from the Cleveland Petroleum Products Co. dated the 1st ult. from which you will see they refer to tests which you carried out. Will you please let me know whether you did carry out tests with this, and if so what your opinion of it is. I also enclose copy of their letter of November 11th. So far as I can trace, we have not refused to continue our Guarantee in the event of this stuff being used. We have, however, had occasions when bad running and dirty carburettor, etc. have been complained of, due to a certain petrol content, in countries on the Continent, more particularly Germany, but so far as I know this is nothing to do with the Cleveland Co.
