PEREGRINE HAND AND FOOT BRAKE EQUALISING MECHANISM. X4466

We send herewith N.sch. 1253 shewing the brake differentials and the fourth cross member.

It will be seen that the torsion on the foot brake has been reduced as much as possible, the levers being kept as short as possible, while the diameter of the shaft is the same as on the Goshawk. In this way the twisting has been reduced by about 30%.

The brake leverages are in both cases slightly more than Goshawk ll., but if they are found to be too much, a slight modification can be employed to reduce them.

We shew also the open turn buckle for the foot brake adjustment.
