Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} BY/Cgh.{W Clough}7/G.16.9.35. BENTLEY CHASSIS - STUB AXLES. With reference to the question raised at the recent Conference regarding the fact that we have not supplied pivot caps with strengthened type stub axles to Paris, it is intended that they should use the original caps, and we see no reason why they should not do so. Two types of stub axles of the strengthened type have been produced, one suitable for the first two series of chassis on which two studded type caps were fitted, and the other for cars which were fitted with the three stud type of cap. We understand that a supply of the latter type have already been sent out to Paris by our Repair Department, and they are expecting to send out a supply of stub axles of the two stud type within the next few days.
