plunger. This is the one that causes the sticking trouble owing to the fact that the pull of the magnets draws it to the side, and any little bit of foreign matter which gets in is sufficient to hold it up.

I am glad you liked Mr. Eyston's M.G., but as a matter of fact our "star turn" on Saturday was Mr. Horton's M.G. which we prepared ourselves at these works. This car lapped 105 m.p.h. and did 111 m.p.h. down the straight complete with body, wings &c. Incidentally we had a letter from the M.G. people yesterday asking us how we did it.
