Re: Mr. Guy Vandervell.

We have had one set of Vandervell bearings on a Bentley Test Bed engine. Results show that they are not quite as good as the white metal bearings standard on the 3½-litre. As they were strip bearings and not flanged, they are not interchangeable with the bearings supplied to a customer necessitating slight modifications in the way of thrust flanges.
