of your test cars running in this country, which i s being run at comparatively the same speed as your customers would drive, similar to the trials conducted on the 20 H.P. model and let us have your reports on this.

I understand a notification has just been received from France that the trials of the single treaded 33 x 5 Oversize tyres which we send you, have been completed and that a report has been forwarded you. No doubt in a day or so you will let me know what has happened, as I am naturally anxious to hear how these tyres compared with those which gave such poor results in your previous trials. Whatever these are, you can accept my assurance that they are not anything like as good as they might have been had we had time to mature the tyres for the necessary period. On Brooklands track I have found tread wear on un-matured tyres to be quite double that of fully matured tyres and although one cannot compare the slower speeds on the road to high speeds on Brooklands concrete, there can be no doubt whatever that unmatured tyres do wear much more quickly and are more liable to burst and puncture than fully matured tyres.

With kind regards,

I beg to remain,

Yours truly,
RAPSON TYRE AND JACK COMPANY.LIMITED.,

F.{Mr Friese} Lionel Rapson.

Managing Director.
