We duly despatched from the factory yesterday, the four double treaded tyres which I promised to make you from the new moulds. I would point out to you that these tyres, like all the others that have been sent you with the exception of those which you tested on the 20 H.P. Rolls, were sent you within a few hours of having been made and have, therefore, had no chance to mature. You are probably aware that to get the best results from any make of tyre, it should stand for at least three months in a special maturing room. It is probably due to the treads being on the soft side that we have not experienced the same results on your 40-50 H.P. model tests as on the 20 h.p. model, that is as regards our tyres giving better results than other makes. In view of foregoing, instead of sending the four new double treaded tyres to France for test, I would prefer you to fit these to one of -1- All communications to be addressed to the Company, not to individuals. | ||
