X5830 To DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} CONFIDENTIAL. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/LG26.9.25. 20 HP. CHASSIS. X5830 We are sending this 20 HP. chassis to Barkers on Monday. The number is 10-G-111. It is going to Barkers with the short steering and the pedals close up. It is not possible to notice the difference in the steering and the pedals under ordinary observation. We think that you can arrange to tell Barkers that we have either got the wrong steering on or something. In any case, we are on strike against making chassis and then pulling them all to bits and re-making them again. To change the column and pedals on the car is a very big job. We get any amount of special customers cars with different shaped bonnets and lengths of steering. Could you give us any idea when we shall get 10-G-111 away from Barkers.
